Masoom Tulsiani is an entrepreneur based in Mumbai. Masoom is the founder of Seo Donuts Inc and works as a freelance web developer and search engine consultant.

People know me as a 20 year old internet enthusiast and quirky computer geek who loves beer ,churns out poetries and does not wear glasses so often ;-) I am currently pursuing my engineering in Information Technology from University of Mumbai and have started up with Seo Donuts Inc - a search engine optimization based company in Mumbai, India.

I know you are wondering why I kept the site name weboobie dot com. No, I am not going to spill the beans.So let’s keep you guessing. :D It’s just a place, where I blog.

Let me tell you a little more about myself. I was born and brought up in the Middle East in 1989 and was influenced by the Web at a very early stage. I got my personal net connection and email id when I was 9 years old, and since then there is no looking back.

I wrote my first line of code in HTML when I was in grade 10, and later got enrolled in a 3 year diploma course in computer technology affilated to MSBTE(mumbai university).

In retrospect, it was during these 3 years that I learnt C, C++, Java, HTML, Javascript , Oracle, Visual Basic & Active Server Pages. During my final year I made a GUI application in Visual Basic 6.0 as my front end and SQL as my back-end language. Later, I even mastered the art of hosting server based web sites using ASP.

At the start of 2007 I was assigned to build and update my college website. Since then Web Designing has become my forte. I learnt professional web designing tools like Dreamweaver & Microsoft Frontpage.

I also discovered my hidden trait of prolific writing in 2006, when I was choosen to be a part of the College Editorial Board. Till Date, I have freelanced and contributed articles on various topics for leading newspapers and magazines like Times of India, V Rebel, JAM & Education Times(TOI).

My involvement on the Internet grew exponentially during 2008 when I started working as a SEO writer during my summer break. I learnt alot in my first 3 months of exposure and explored the mechanism of search engine giant- Google. I worked closely with Google Pagerank alogrithms & Adsense. My job profile included Search Engine Optimization, Online Marketing, Keyword research, Writing SEO Rich blogs & Backlinking. I soon became confident in my design skills and continued to work for Alfa Overseas-an overseas outsourcing firm where I worked with clients from US & Uk and got a hand-on-experience of handling SEO projects independently.

Since my foray in to the engineering field, I have begun dabbling with programming languages like never before on my DELL Inspiron 1525.

So where does Wordpress come in? I saw a lot of tech geeks running their websites on Wordpress. A name that was completely foreign to me at the time. I started experimenting with the platform immediately, still being very clueless about CSS, SQL and PHP. But I got the hang of it very quickly and it was also because of PHP that I really took a fancy too. So i finally launched my personal domain Weboobie dot com on the Worpdress platfrom. Refining them and learning as much about Wordpress design as I could.

I have a keen interest in designing websites using the ASP.Net framework. PHP, Open source ,API, Adobe technologies like Flex, Coldfusion are some of the fields that interest me.

I also play tennis and attend salsa classes on weekends. :) And I love traveling different parts of the world. So this is me,I have seen myself growing in years. From an amateur teen to a gangling technologist. Thanks for reading.
